Defining The Problem
Online furniture shopping often leaves users frustrated due to a lack of visual context, difficulties in assessing furniture size and fit, and limited personalized recommendations.
These challenges make it hard for customers to confidently purchase furniture that complements their space and style. To ensure we solve this problem effectively, here is what our research will include:
1. Understanding the user and their needs
2. Uncovering pain points
3. Determining the success of the tasks measured
Gathering Insights
After identifying the core problem and conducting extensive research, I synthesized the findings using an affinity mapping process.
This method allowed me to organize and categorize insights, observations, and user feedback into meaningful themes, enabling a clearer understanding of user needs and uncovering patterns to inform the design strategy.
Paper Wireframes
Based on the affinity map above, I worked towards drafting solutions for the mobile game.
I mocked up paper wireframes to gather feedback from other designers and development.
The wireframes are used to outline the basic structure and layout of the final digital product.
Finalizing The Prototype
I created my high fidelity mockups and final prototype in Adobe XD.
GANTE redefines the online furniture shopping experience by combining cutting-edge technology with thoughtful design.
Its user-friendly features, innovative tools, and modern interface make it a go-to solution for furniture enthusiasts seeking convenience and style.
Through the development of GANTE, I learned the importance of balancing user needs with technical feasibility.
Conducting user research and translating insights into actionable design solutions taught me how to address real-world pain points effectively.
Additionally, working on this project reinforced the value of iterative testing, as user feedback was critical in refining features like AR integration and the interactive room planner.
This experience has deepened my understanding of creating user-centric products that are both functional and visually engaging.
